After a good research online, we've found quite a few recommended places to get our Guo Da Li cakes for our relatives. They are Kyo Cakes, Prima Deli, Cupcake Divinity, Choz Confectionary, Yiling Confectionary, Sweetest Moments, Pine Gardens.
However, due to budget constraints, we've decided to go for Kyo as it has quite a number of good reviews and the price is definitely within our budget! The best part is that we can sign up online at http://www.kyo.com.sg/bridetobe.html to receive a 20% discount on the cake sets!
Another good thing about Kyo is that it is just located at Marine Parade, which makes it very convenient for him to do the self-collection of the cakes on the day itself. Since it is so convenient, we went down to the shop the other day to get a taste of their butter cake. We bought the walnut butter cake and it's pretty soft, not like the usual dry butter cakes that we get outside. I love the generous topping of walnuts on top of the cake too =)
But the funny thing is that they don't have the normal walnut cake for the cake set, only coffee walnut. I'll probbably check it out with them when the date draws nearer.
By the way, the address of Kyo cakes is as follows, but note that their actual shop is called,
