The first week of moving in...

This is the first week of moving into Marky's house and yes, it is during the CNY week. Not that there was much choice anyway...There was lots of packing, moving, unpacking and cleaning up to do but luckily it is all over now...*Phew*

After all the manual work, here comes the settling in. Although I've always been staying over at Marky's house for 2-3 days every now and then, but this time round, things are not the same anymore.

You must be thinking what's in for me now...here's a list of them:
  • I have to start assuming duties and responsibilities that I did not used to have, like doing housework, be independent, take care of Marky, clear Mikkel and Jobi's poo & pee when everyone's not at home, and the list goes on...
  • Limited freedom to cook whenever & whatever I like
  • Limited freedom to eat/wear/do whatever I like
  • No delicious mummy's home-cooked food
  • No mummy to listen to all my grouses
  • A longer travelling time to almost everywhere, especially school
  • The MRT is no longer within walking distance
  • ...
I know I am complaining a lot when I should be happy with...
+ A spacious house to stay in
+ Parents-in-law who are very concerned about us
+ Marky who tries to do everything to make things comfortable for me

I guess I just need time to fit in...

On the other hand, we're really pleased with what we had done to the wall in our room!
However, this wall mural project wasn't part of our plan at all... it all started with Marky's ingenious plan of covering some TINY holes in the wall with putty (a lot of putty) and painting over with a very light shade of purple which he felt will be able to transform into this current dark purple by giving it 2 coats.

His explanation
Marky said that he saw a layer of dark purple paint on the inner walls of the tin of light purple paint. Therefore, he was absolutely sure that that must be the tin of dark purple paint...

And so...
here comes Jessy to save the day (again)...LOL
I googled online to look for a suitable wall design to cover the damage (2 big & 1 medium circles) that was done to the wall. Each of the owls covered 1 damage while the branch covered the smaller one.

Took me 15-20mins to draw and almost 3hours to paint as we only had 1 medium sized brush and my very fine art & craft painting brushes for the outline...I ended up with an aching neck but a huge sense of satisfaction!
