We ran into some problems with Halia recently...Just when we're going to pay the deposit, our coordinator, E, told us that they have another wedding just after ours and their guests will arrive at 6pm for their event to start at 7pm. So I told E that it's okay as we're supposed to leave at 5.30pm as stated in their clause.
Then she told me her concern that there might not be enough time for them to prepare for the next event and proposed that we shift to their restaurant's outdoor area instead (In hope that the additional incentive of free-flow coffee &tea/soft drinks will attract us to change) OF cause I refused as we had been promised the new area for our solemnisation since Febuarary. Marky is very angry and disappointed with them for compromising on our event. Despite our event being smaller & cheaper doesn't mean that we should be compromised, right? Now we still gotta wait for E to be back from a business trip to settle this...
