Despite the hiccups we have with the ROM venue, we've confirmed our Actual Day's venue next year!!! HOORAYYYY!!! Thanks to Marky's uncle, Pastor David, who recommended us to M Hotel and even helped us to clinch a good deal with them =) But it'll still work out to a hefty amount for 30 tables...Luckily, we have his supportive parents to finance us if we can't cope..
We went down to take a look at the banquet suite & the hotel's city view suite with Marky's mum and uncle just this week. Initially we had to wait quite long before we were served by Colette then Marky said that maybe she's the one serving another couple at the cafe just beside us. And he's right this time (He's feeling really proud of it)...
We went to view the Anson Room, which in my opinion is more like a function room with very low ceilings and a very weird layout -- P-shaped. The Anson room is also less exclusive as it is on the same level as the hotel's buffet restaurant, thus the cheaper price tag.
As we really didn't liked it, I only took a fast pic of it. (Pardon all the blur pics as I was quite embarrassed to show my cam whoring self in front of Marky's mum & uncle, so all photo taking were done most discretely w/o flash)
This picture below shows the spacious reception area of the exclusive Banquet Suite on the 10th level. As the place wasn't lit up, this was the best pic I can take.
On the same level, a day-room with 2 separate areas (1 waiting area + 1 changing area) will be provided for our helpers & also for me to change into my gowns. Really very convenient!

This is the banquet suite which can hold up to a maximum of 32 tables. The good thing about this place is the squarish layout which allows all the tables to have a good view.
Below is the city view suite that we were brought to. It's really a very very small suite. But thanks to the "connections" we have, we were allowed to upgrade to the sea view suite which is bigger. The sad thing is that we were unable to upgrade to a 2 days' stay FOC...However, we might still get an extension as we were given a good rate for that.
All in all, both of us (including our parents)are all relieved that the venue is settled. Yeah!
